BRIEF
Fogo Island Inn is located off the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland, Canada on Fogo Island. It is an award winning luxury boutique hotel that is an initiative of Shorefast Foundation, a registered Canadian charity founded by Zita Cobb.
The property did not have a video asset library and needed assets for speaking engagements, travel and trade marketing as well as their new website.
STRATEGY
Fogo Island Inn commissioned LuxStory to produce a suite of premium, cinematic, story-driven videos and strategically distribute them to targeted press, online publications and digital platforms. Fogo Island Inn’s directive was to visually capture and convey the essence and sense of the property and its surroundings.
OUTCOME
LuxStory Media worked with award-winning filmmakers to produce a story-driven, micro-documentary on the property. Through strategic relationships with press and editorial distribution, the video was featured in multiple outlets including CNN, Condé Nast Traveller, USA Today, Postmedia, Huffington Post, AOL, MSN Travel, Azure Magazine. The video also acts as the properties marketing video and lives on their website and social platforms, garnering over 130K+ views and 3000+ shares on Facebook alone. The video also lives on National Geographic’s Unique Lodges Of The World.
LuxStory Media also produced custom-to-publication videos to support print stories with freelance journalists for Yahoo! Travel and Metro News on press trips at the property.
The video has received a Cannes Award, a Stevie Award and a Telly Award for Video of the Year.
