Video storytelling is an effective medium to convey the essence of a destination in addition to its physical beauty. Anthology Marketing, Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau’s PR agency, engaged LuxStory Media on a suite of video storytelling content to amplify cultural stories of Hawaii to the domestic market and key international markets, including Canada.
Production of compelling story content is one half of a video content solution. Distribution of the content to relevant, targeted audiences is the other half. LuxStory Media produced video content to be editorially distributed (not paid) on platforms where audiences are engaged and fit the demographic of the Hawaiian traveler. The focus of the video content was to share stories that positioned Hawaii’s culture, people and landmarks beyond being “touristy”.
LuxStory Media produced two custom-to-publication Insider’s Guide videos on Oahu and Kauai to amplify a print story on Hawaii in WestJet Airlines’ Magazine and its digital platforms. A drone video of Hawaii was also produced for Town & Country Magazine’s readers and featured on their digital platforms. A Hawaii “bucket list” video and two culinary story videos were also produced and distributed for broad reach on domestic and international content platforms. Together these videos accounted for 130K+ views in addition to shares on Facebook.
