BRIEF

The Great Waterway Region is conveniently located an hour and a half away from Toronto and Montreal, and an hour away from Ottawa. This region is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway and promises to surprise visitors with rich cultural experiences, off the beaten path jaunts, and other hidden gems.

STRATEGY

The Great Waterway, Region 9 Regional Tourism Organization commissioned LuxStory Media to produce a multi-influencer trip and social campaign by engaging our curated influencer roster. LuxStory Media provided completed influencer management including selection, contracting, ensuring that key messaging was adhered to and that hashtags/tags were always captured. The influencers were selected from key drive markets in Quebec. Their specialities are food, photography, and architecture.

Working alongside the tourism board, LuxStory Media custom created itineraries for three influencers who each experienced a unique region over a 3-day weekend trip and documented their cultural experiences via social media.

OUTCOME

This influencer trip produced by LuxStory Media in collaboration with The Great Waterway, Region 9 Regional Tourism Organization aimed at inspiring French-speaking Canadians from Quebec to discover the Great Waterway regions. Each influencer produced a minimum of nine customized social media posts and primarily shared their experiences via Instagram and Snapchat stories.

By engaging Quebec based influencers, LuxStory Media targeted niche audiences and promoted South Eastern Ontario tourism in the province of Quebec from a unique perspective. The overall reach of this influencer campaign included 200K+ impressions and over 115+ posts across social channels.
